From Canvas to Community
The IWAF Mauritius Conference brings together thinkers, artists, and changemakers for a week of exchange.
It is supported by Carpe Diem Art Therapy — a Mauritian NGO committed to empowering communities in vulnerable situations, including in prisons and individuals undergoing personal growth, using the transformative power of art to foster lasting social impact.
Curated under the festival’s main theme, Waves of Interconnectedness, and centered on the topic “From Canvas to Community“, the IWAF conference will explore the intersections of art and science, healing, identity, and social work.
Featuring two international and two local keynote speakers, the conference will provide a unique platform for dialogue across disciplines and cultures.
Attendees will include artists, scientists, scholars, teachers, students, and cultural workers — all engaging in sessions designed to inspire, challenge, and build bridges through shared creative inquiry.
